Discipleship training for RCC Women’s Ministry

Discipleship training for RCC Women’s Ministry

Church, How Do We Grow?

The main purpose of Christian discipleship is to be like Christ and to learn about the Father. This Discipleship training course is designed for RCC Women to be established in the basics of Christian devotional life and cultivate intimacy with God and a character of holiness, humility, and the fruit of the Spirit found in Gal 5:22-23 which is addressed in the RCC membership course materials under stage 2.

The main topics are selected and based on the required book “Follow” by Floyd Maclag and customized by the instructor in order to support the RCC vision of the church as a body.

The structure of the teaching is a seven-week-long book study. Each session will examine the two required books by means of questionnaires as well as discussions and sharing in a small group setting.

Attendees  will gain a greater conviction for personal and corporate discipleship and  go deeper in learning and in emulating and applying the character of Christ as in the verse from 1 Peter 2:21: “To this you were called, because Christ suffered for you, leaving you an example, that you should follow in his steps.”

Attendees will grow in their desire to be involved in the lives of other believers and to build relationships with them which will foster their growth in faith.

Attendees will grow in their personal walk with the Lord and will practice the disciplines that foster such growth.

Attendees in separate small groups will be given questions to discuss and answer using the Scripture as a basis for each opinion.

Attendees will be encouraged to answer questions openly and honestly. Once the small groups do their best, the answers will be shared in the larger group.
