We all were new, at one time, and we remember what it’s like. So we’ve provided the information below, knowing that it’s easier to venture into a new place when you know what to expect.

Riverside Community Church (RCC) exists to encourage all people to pursue a lifelong, joyous relationship with Jesus Christ. Our history dates back to 1996, when a small group of people founded a church in Bergen County, New Jersey. We are a nondenominational, evangelical Christian church. That means that we are governed by our own elders, not an outside organization.

Our congregation spans a range of ages and backgrounds. The pastor on-stage dress conservatively, but you’ll see people in the congregation dressed in all styles—from jeans to business suits. Each service lasts for one hour and twenty minutes or so.  No one will single you out as a visitor.  You can simply attend and enjoy.  The service starts at 11:00 a.m. for adults and children.  The children attend Sunday Schools based on their ages and there is a class for every age group from toddlers to 6th grade. Youth also have Bible studies after service and Friday evening gatherings.  After the services, you and the whole family are invited to a delicious lunch and fellowship.

Getting connected at Riverside  is about relationships that get beneath the surface. Those kinds of relationships won’t come simply by attending worship services. They take time. One way to get connected is to join a House Church and/or Bible study. House Church teams offer adults and kids a chance to connect in smaller groups in casual atmosphere. We meet at people’s homes or at church to share encouragements, accountability, and chance to share in kingdom activities with missionaries around the world. The Bible studies and prayer groups also meet at different times throughout the week.

 

Serving others also deepens your relationship with God and people. We offer a variety of service opportunities and mission trips. We will be happy to connect you with a team of staff and volunteers who work together in serving others and God locally, nationally, and globally.
